Training program
The modular training program on "Managing Demographic Change and Labor Force Development" was developed by the Methodists of the Center for Human Resource Development and Regional Initiatives in pursuance of the Joint Declaration of the Ministers of Labor and Social Policies of the Countries of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) adopted at the International Conference on Demographic Challenges in the SEECP Participating Countries, May 12 - 13, 2016, Sofia. It aims to increase the capacity of the administration involved in demographic issues and to support the development of the workforce in the context of the management of modern demographic changes.
The program is made for a wide range of public sector social and labor market administrations from SEECP countries whose work is directly related to the formulation and implementation of demographic resolution policies as well as experts from research organizations and the non-governmental sector, social partners working on labor market issues and labor force development.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- to build on their knowledge of the state and characteristics of the labor force in Southeast Europe in the context of modern demographic change and challenges;
- to improve their knowledge and skills in shaping and implementing labor force policies and promoting sustainable employment in the SEECP participating countries;
- to expand their knowledge of the processes of internal and external migrations in the region and to develop interaction skills in international mobility in the SEECP participating countries;
- to learn about labor requirements in the context of technological change and about the professions of the future.
