Georgi Vanev, Director

Georgi Vanev is a lawyer with extensive experience in the legal field, public administration and international diplomacy. He has a Law degree from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and from the University of Ruse Angel Kanchev. He is fluent in English and Russian languages.

His professional career includes the positions of a chief expert and legal adviser in Avtomagistrali EAD, as well as in the Bulgarian Water Supply and Sewerage Holding. He was a chief expert at the State Fund Agriculture and has worked in the diplomatic mission of Bulgaria in the Hague. In the period 2013-2014 he was an advisor to the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works.

His experience covers areas such as procurement management, legal consulting, project management and international relations. From January 15 to May 14, 2024, he held the position of Deputy Director of the Center for Human Resource Development and Regional Initiatives (CHRDRI).

Alexander Shopov, Deputy Director of the Center for Human Resources Development and Regional Initiatives

Alexander Shopov has over 40 years of professional experience in the management of social activities, public administration and business management. He has a Master's degree in Economics and Transport Management from the Karl Marx Higher Institute of Economics and a second degree in Accounting, Finance and Control from the University of National and World Economy.

Over the years, he has held senior positions in a number of institutions, including the National Social Security Institute (NSSI), the Social Assistance Agency, Sofia Properties and the Ministry of Justice. From 2016 to 2023 he was Director of the Center for Human Resources and Regional Development (CHRDRI).

His experience includes both management of social and economic processes and consulting in the field of social assistance and public services.
