"Institutional Capacity Building of the MLSP of Bulgaria" Project

"Institutional Capacity Building of the MLSP of Bulgaria" Project started in 2004 and was implemented by the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC-ILO), Turin, Italy, and since 2009, the Centre for human resource development and regional initiatives started active participation. The main activities were aimed at improving the training and logistical capacity of the Centre.
The aim of the project was to support the development of modern and efficient administration of the MLSP in the context of the country's membership in the EU. The specific objectives that were set and that the project has achieved are:

  •     improving the skills of employees of the MLSP on issues related to employment, income and living standards, gender equality, health and safety, strategic planning, management of technical cooperation programs, including projects financed by the ESF;
  •     supporting the capacity of MLSP and CHRDRI for developing and implementing training programs for the administration.

The target group of the project covered employees of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, SLUs to the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, other central and local administrations, social partners, and NGOs. Since 2009 until the project completion at the end of 2014, CHRDRI has trained 7198 persons in 378 training courses including seminars, workshops, study visits, conferences, round tables, vocational courses.
